Socrates

Meet Socrates! This smart and playful pup came to us with his mom, Amara, and ten siblings when he was just six days old. Socrates is a very intelligent boy, sometimes a little too smart for his own good! He loves to engage in a good romp with his doggy pals and also enjoys calm moments filled with head pats.

Ideal Home

Socrates will thrive in a home experienced with large dogs. He would do exceptionally well if he had a resident large dog companion to show him the ropes. Due to his high prey drive, he will do best with dogs his size or larger.

Ongoing Health

Socrates has been diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), which affects his ability to digest and absorb food. He is on a lifelong treatment plan that includes Pancreplus powder, which needs to be added to his food 15-20 minutes before each meal. This supplement assists in breaking down his food for better nutritional absorption. He requires three meals of puppy food per day to maintain a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Socrates is noted to be house-trained as "No." This means he will need consistent training and reinforcement to learn house-training.
