Rubble

Meet Rubble! This charming two-year-old English bulldog arrived as a stray and has spent the last seven months in a loving foster home, learning the ropes and blossoming into a wonderful companion. Rubble is an energetic and intelligent boy who thrives with mental and physical stimulation. He loves to chew, but please note he recently had four teeth removed, so only offer him soft chews. He's discovered the joy of toys and loves a good game of tug-of-war! Rubble is a world-class snuggler and would love to share your bed at night. He has a handsome face and is sure to bring a smile to your face.

Ideal Home

Rubble would do best in a home without other dogs, as he craves all the attention for himself! He would also do best in a home without small children. Rubble is not a fan of plants, so a home free of them is preferred. He cannot be crated due to past trauma, but he does well in a secure, Rubble-proofed room when you need to step out. He also needs a home where someone works from home or is generally home often.

Training & Support

Rubble can be a bit of a character and may try to hump people and other dogs when he's excited or feeling anxious. He is learning better dog-to-dog communication, but would still prefer to be the only dog in the home. If Rubble gets into something he shouldn't, he may growl or snap if you try to take it from him. He is highly treat-motivated, so trading for the item is the best approach. He needs consistent redirection and positive reinforcement to manage his chewing habits and prevent him from getting into mischief.
