Hot Rod lives up to his name! He may have short legs, but don't let them fool you, they're always in motion. This goofy, high-energy boy is all about fun and is guaranteed to keep you laughing. Hot Rod absolutely loves toys and is more than happy to entertain himself, but he'd much rather convince you to join the fun. His favorite move is smacking you with a toy to let you know it's time to play! His hilarious antics had staff laughing nonstop (and occasionally ducking for cover from his enthusiastic toy invitations). This energetic pup is looking for an active family that can keep up with him. He'd make an excellent running, hiking, or adventure buddy and would thrive with daily exercise and plenty of enrichment. If you're looking for a couch potato, Hot Rod isn't your guy, but if you're searching for a fun-loving companion who will bring laughter and excitement to every day, he's ready to hit the road with you! Hot Rod is around 2 years old and weighs 48 lbs.
Ideal Home
Hot Rod is looking for an active family that can keep up with his energy. He'd make an excellent running, hiking, or adventure buddy and would thrive with daily exercise and plenty of enrichment. He is not suited for a home looking for a couch potato. If you have children or other pets, they are required to be present for a meet and greet.
Ongoing Health
All dogs receive their DAPPL, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines, though you may be required to get follow up boosters. All dogs come microchipped and with a Cuyahoga County license. Dogs adopted directly from the kennel need to go to your personal vet within two weeks of leaving the kennel. We cannot make any guarantees with regard to health once they are in your home.
Training & Support
We do not know if Hot Rod is house trained or what kind of home environment he was previously in. Everything we know about him is based on volunteer and staff observations.
