Lainey is a darling little chihuahua mix, born around February 2024 and currently weighing 9 lbs. She's happy, playful, affectionate, and has a medium energy level. Lainey has a gentle, submissive, and sweet nature that is incredibly endearing. While she can be shy when meeting new people, she warms up with slow, gentle introductions and a few tasty treats. She loves to play with her toys and chew on her bones, and enjoys exploring the yard and playing chase with her doggy friends. Lainey thrives on companionship and wants to be a significant part of her family's life; she would likely not do well being left alone for long hours daily.

Ideal Home

Lainey enjoys the company of other friendly, respectful dogs who aren't overly dominant, and she seems to prefer playmates around her size. She can play with some larger dogs as long as they aren't too rough, but she doesn't enjoy rambunctious, wrestling-style play; she much prefers a good game of chase. Lainey currently lives happily with well-balanced dogs of all sizes and is respectful of dog-savvy cats, though she might challenge shy kitties or chase if they run. Children would likely overwhelm her, so an adult-only home is recommended. She really needs a yard and would not do well in an apartment.
