Hiromi is a sweet and energetic 4-year-old Belgian Malinois mix, weighing around 36 lbs. She was found as a stray in Matamoros, Mexico, underweight and covered in fleas, but her gentle spirit remained. Now, Hiromi is a healthy and happy girl, eager to find her forever family. She's playful and enjoys human companionship, though she can be a little shy when meeting new people. Once she feels secure, her affectionate and loving nature shines through. Hiromi is crate and leash trained, making her a fantastic adventure buddy for walks and outdoor fun. As an intelligent breed mix, she thrives on regular exercise and mental stimulation. Hiromi is looking for a family to cherish her and give her the happy ending she deserves.
Ideal Home
Hiromi would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a deep understanding of rescuing street animals and a commitment to their education and well-being. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, and adopters should be willing to hire a trainer if needed. High tolerance and patience are essential for this rescued pup.
Ongoing Health
Hiromi is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations, including DHPPI and rabies. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She receives monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Nexgard Spectra. She has a clean bill of health with a health certificate and vaccine booklet provided.
Training & Support
Hiromi is crate trained and leash trained. While she has not been house-trained due to her background, adopters should be prepared for this learning curve. Her rescuers emphasize that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and benefit greatly from patience, understanding, and a consistent routine to build trust and security.
