About Sleepy

Meet Sleepy, a bright and curious 5-month-old Blue Heeler puppy weighing approximately 16 pounds. Sleepy and his family were rescued after his mother gave birth in a safe place. He's had a healthy start and is now ready to embark on his next adventure in a loving forever home. Sleepy is an intelligent and observant pup who likes to take in his surroundings before diving into play. He's energetic and loves to explore, making him a perfect candidate for an active family. As a working breed, he'll thrive with daily exercise and mental stimulation like training and puzzle toys.

Ideal Home

Sleepy gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around children, men, and women. He would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor activities, has a fenced backyard, and is experienced with dog behavior and training. Families should have high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies and understand the importance of continued positive guidance and socialization. Sleepy is not yet house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Sleepy has received a spay/neuter surgery, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. He has tested negative for heartworm and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Sleepy is not house-trained, and prospective adopters should be aware that extensive effort is placed on health rehabilitation for all rescued pets, making individual house-training challenging. With continued positive guidance and socialization, he has the potential to become an incredible lifelong companion.
