Canton

Canton is a large, regal-looking 5-year-old male mixed breed dog who is gaining confidence every day. He recently had a chance to play with other dogs and he "aced" it! Canton was friendly and tolerant of the other dogs and played tag well. A volunteer who took him out for his pictures mentioned that he was patient in her car, watching other dogs walk by without a reaction. Canton is sensitive to loud sounds, like the planes that fly over the shelter, but he also sought out pets and loving from the volunteers. He wasn't interested in treats or toys, but he is a handsome guy who will be an easy houseguest!

Ideal Home

Canton would likely do well in a home where he can continue to gain confidence. He has shown himself to be tolerant and friendly with other dogs.

Canton is neutered.

Training & Support

Canton is sensitive to loud noises. He sought out pets and loving from volunteers and wasn't interested in treats or toys, which may be something to consider when working on training or engagement.
