Bear Buddy Heart

Bear is a handsome 1-year-old, 60lb pittie mix with a big personality to match his impressive presence! He's confident, people-loving, and approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Bear is eager to engage and learn, and his treat motivation makes him a joy to train. He's already house and crate trained, and loves to be involved in whatever his humans are doing, whether it's by their side or just lounging nearby.

Ideal Home

Bear would do best in a home with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. He shows promise for living with a dog-savvy, confident cat with slow introductions. He thrives with regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.

Ongoing Health

Bear is a healthy boy. His adoption fee includes all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Bear is still working on leash manners, particularly his excitement when seeing other dogs. He responds well to clear, consistent handling. While he can be a bit pushy in play with other dogs, he has shown he can be respectful once he gets to know them. He loves enrichment puzzles, which are great for his brain!

Transporation

Bear is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via Wags' USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up in the Houston area.
