Meet Trixie!
Trixie is a tiny sweetheart with a gentle soul who is looking for a patient family to show her just how wonderful life can be. She came to us through Loyal K9 after being surrendered by a breeder who no longer wanted her. While her past wasn't ideal, we're excited to help her find the loving home she has always deserved.
Because Trixie wasn't well socialized as a puppy, new people and unfamiliar situations can be overwhelming for her. When she's scared, she doesn't become aggressive--instead, she simply freezes and hopes the scary thing will go away. She'll need a family that understands she isn't being stubborn or unfriendly; she's just trying her best in a world that still feels very big and unfamiliar.
One thing that brings Trixie comfort is other dogs! She really enjoys the company of canine friends and would likely do very well with a confident, friendly dog in her new home who can help show her that people aren't so scary. She takes cues from other dogs and gains confidence by watching them.
Trixie is looking for a calm, patient home where she can move at her own pace. She may not be the dog who runs up to greet strangers right away, but every small victory--taking a treat, asking for a pet, or wagging her tail when she sees you--is incredibly rewarding. Watching a shy dog learn to trust is one of the most special experiences, and Trixie is so worth the time it takes.
She'll need a family that celebrates the little milestones, understands that building trust doesn't happen overnight, and is committed to helping her continue to grow. With love, consistency, and plenty of reassurance, we know Trixie will continue to gain confidence and show more of her sweet personality every day.

Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.
Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00
