Samba

Hi there! My name is Samba and I'm a gorgeous cream Shepherd mix looking for my forever home. I'm about 5 years old and have a special shorter stature, giving me that classic German Shepherd look in a more compact size. I'm a mellow girl who enjoys a calm environment and would do well in an apartment, condo, or townhome as long as I get my exercise. I was rescued from a shelter where I was starting to shut down, but my foster mom bravely brought me into her loving home, and I'm learning all about the joys of a stable life.

Ideal Home

I'd do best in a home with teenage or adult humans, as I'm not a fan of the high energy of younger kids. I can be the queen of my castle as an only dog, or I'd be happy to have a mellow, large male dog as a companion. I am definitely not a cat person, so a feline-free household is a must.

Ongoing Health

I'm up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and monthly preventatives. I've also been spayed.

Training & Support

While I have decent house and crate manners, I could use an obedience refresher. It's a great way for us to bond, and I'm super motivated by yummy treats like hot dogs or cheese!

• All dogs are fostered in Tennessee unless otherwise noted.
• We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply.
• An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog.
• Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters by appointment only.
• Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications.
• All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time.
