Doc Holiday is a smart and loving dog who had a rough start in life. He came to us in early October needing a bath and a safe place to rest. He quickly warmed up to our resident lady dogs, enjoying playful chases and wrestling. Doc is a quick learner, already mastering commands like "come," "sit," and "stay," and he reliably stays in the yard. He enjoys being outdoors, loves car rides, and is generally laid-back and quiet. While he appreciates a good back scratch and some baby talk, he's also content with his own space and doesn't demand constant attention. Despite some past trust issues stemming from abuse, Doc genuinely craves love and reassurance. His favorite part of the day is cuddling up in bed after breakfast, burying his head in the covers.
Ideal Home
Doc Holiday would thrive in a home where he can continue to build trust and receive gentle reassurance. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is described as being good with them.
Ongoing Health
All dogs adopted through Wags are spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. If over 6 months of age, they are also heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative.
