Meet Fritz!
Fritz was found as a tiny pup, nearly hit by a car, and left at a PetSmart when he was just around six weeks old. Now about eight weeks old, he's thriving and showing off his amazing personality every day. We believe he's a German Wirehaired Pointer or a mix of that wonderful breed. He's got those classic markings, a strong facial structure, and paws that are already pretty big, so we expect him to be a good-sized boy, likely over 50 lbs when fully grown.
Fritz is incredibly special, boasting a spunky and fun-loving spirit, with the perfect blend of puppy playfulness and sweet cuddles. He still enjoys his puppy naps, but when he's awake, he's a bundle of curiosity and adventure, always eager for a new experience. As expected for his breed, he has moderate energy and is super smart, loving enrichment toys and puzzles that give his brain a good workout.
Ideal Home
Fritz is a social butterfly who does wonderfully with people, children, and other dogs. Since he's currently teething and can be a bit mouthy, supervision is important around younger children as he learns boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Fritz is up-to-date on all his vaccinations for his age, has been dewormed, is microchipped, and is on monthly flea and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
He already knows his name and comes when called, and we're working on teaching him to sit. He's eager to learn and very food-motivated, making training a fun and rewarding experience. Fritz is just starting to learn to sleep independently, so his new family should be prepared for continued crate training and consistent puppy structure. He's an early riser, usually up by 4:30 AM. Puppies, especially those from working breeds, need patience, consistency, time, and commitment, and Fritz deserves a family ready to provide all of that.

Transportation
Our primary rescue is located in Houston, Texas, but we have foster homes in various regions, allowing us to help dogs find homes outside our immediate area. Transport to approved adopters is available for an additional fee.
