🐾 Meet Mimi — a shy sweetheart looking for a loving home

Mimi arrived from Tepic, Nayarit with four other dogs after another rescuer asked for help finding them homes. When she first came into our care, she was extremely shy — it took nearly two weeks before she’d even let most of us touch her. We later learned she needed the same slow, gentle approach with her previous rescuer too.

One of the sweetest things about Mimi is how soft and nurturing she becomes around puppies — her whole energy changes, like she remembers being a mom. A home with a pup companion would be wonderful for her.

Mimi has so much love to give once she trusts you. She just needs someone willing to give her the time and safety she’s never had.

💛 Mimi would thrive with: • A patient adopter who understands she’ll need several weeks (or more) to adjust • A calm home, ideally with another friendly dog • Someone who appreciates quiet companionship and gentle progress

Due to her size, Mimi isn’t suited for in-cabin travel. She is currently 8.2kg or 18 lbs.
