ANGUS-Big Puppy

Angus is a big, goofy puppy who is looking for a home where he can continue to grow and play! He was found wandering near a creek with his mom, Gloria, and brought to the Hico Animal Shelter. Now that he's been vetted, he's ready to find his forever family. Angus is a Bullmastiff mix, about 6 months old, and already over 60 pounds. He's going to be a very large dog, so be prepared for a lot of love and a lot of dog!

Ideal Home

Angus would do best in an active household with older children. He enjoys playing with other dogs but is still learning how to manage his size around them. Due to his size and exuberance, he is too much for cats. A well-fenced yard is a must for this energetic pup.

Ongoing Health

Angus is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations (including rabies and bordatella), and is heartworm negative. He is microchipped and currently on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

As a puppy, Angus is still learning. He is working on leash walking and can be a bit of a chewer. He is doggie door trained, but his housebreaking status is still being determined. He loves to ride in vehicles but needs to be properly restrained due to his size and excitement. Consistent training and plenty of opportunities for play will help him succeed.
