Ideal Home
Bentley is friendly with adults, children, dogs, and cats. He would thrive with a family that can provide plenty of love, attention, companionship, and gentle guidance. He is still learning that being picked up is safe, but he enjoys cuddling beside his people and seeking affection.
The rescue typically does not place dogs in homes with children under 8. Applicants must be at least 25 years old and live within a 45-minute drive of Springfield, Virginia, including Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC suburbs.

Bentley previously had heartworm, completed treatment, and is now heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Bentley is house-trained with pee pads. He enjoys walks and is playful when it is time for fun, while remaining calm when it is time to relax. As with many rescue dogs, leash walking, house training, and adjusting to family life may require patience and gentle guidance.
