Beatrix is a truly special girl, about three years old and weighing around fifty-five pounds. She was once a fearful, feral dog who survived over two years living along the side of an expressway, constantly fleeing from humans. Today, she's a sensitive, loyal companion who has blossomed and is finally ready for a home of her own. Beatrix is spayed, fully vaccinated, and mostly house-trained. She thrives on routine and finds comfort in predictability. Once she trusts you, she's incredibly affectionate, enjoys snuggles, and seeks quiet time by your side. She has some endearing habits, like gently vocalizing when she wants to join you on the couch, following you from room to room, and even jumping into the shower if the door is left open! She handles car rides and walks best in calm, short stretches and doesn't guard her toys or food. Beatrix's greatest desire is closeness and a predictable environment.
Ideal Home
Beatrix will need to be the only pet in the home as she is still building confidence and cannot live with other dogs or cats. Because she can bark or jump when nervous, a home without small children is best. She truly needs a patient, steady environment with people who appreciate routine and understand that slow, gentle guidance will help her continue to grow.
Ongoing Health
Beatrix is spayed and fully vaccinated.
Training & Support
Beatrix is mostly house-trained, but regression is normal when transitioning to a new home. She is still learning confidence, so slow and gentle guidance is recommended.
