Alba

Alba is a sweet 1-year-old Labrador Creole mix who weighs around 30 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024 with her siblings and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Alba is a loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful pup who adores affection. She's energetic and sociable with people, children, and other dogs, enjoying walks, runs, and playtime. While a bit shy initially, she quickly warms up and melts into your arms once she feels comfortable. She's also crate and leash trained.

Ideal Home

Alba would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and active, outdoorsy families. She needs a family with an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, as well as experience in dog behavior and training. High tolerance and patience are essential, as Alba is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Alba has completed a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has tested negative for heartworm and 4DX, and receives monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Alba is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared to work on this. Her rescuers emphasize that "perfectly imperfect" is the nature of rescue dogs. They have extensive experience in dog rehabilitation and are looking for adopters who understand the commitment involved in helping a rescued animal integrate into a new home.

Transportation

Alba is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation is available to the East Coast, delivering directly to the adopter's home address for a fee of $400.00.
