Moose

Meet Moose! This sweet, timid boy was found as a stray and can be a little overwhelmed in new environments. He's currently at Top Dog Daycare and Boarding, where he's getting lots of love and attention, even from the owner's toddlers. Moose enjoys quietly playing with his toys and snuggling up while watching TV. He's done well with children in the office and has had positive short interactions with other dogs, including a foster dog named Sandy and the facility's resident American Bully.

Ideal Home

Moose would likely thrive in a home where he can continue to gain confidence. He doesn't like crates and cries when he's in one. We don't yet know if he'd get into things if left unsupervised when you're out of the house, but he does okay overnight in a kennel.

Ongoing Health

Moose needs to gain a little more weight. He has been neutered.

Training & Support

Moose is still learning about the world and can be timid. He would benefit from a patient owner who can help him build confidence.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Must live in the Central Ohio area (within 45 miles of our office).
• Adopters must be over 24 years old.
• Resident pets must be spayed/neutered.
• An adoption agreement and fees apply ($300 for adult dogs).
• The adoption process includes a lease manager reference (if applicable), a veterinarian reference, and a home visit (in-person or virtual). If you're a first-time pet owner, you'll be asked to research local vet services.
