Prince

Prince is a majestic 3-year-old Great Pyrenees, tipping the scales at an impressive 130 pounds. He's a classic Great Pyrenees who takes his role as neighborhood watch very seriously, letting you know about every Amazon driver, squirrel, and passing dog. He believes this important work deserves appreciation! Prince is wonderful with his people and has a silly, fun side. He's also respectful of strangers. He enjoys playtime, which for this large working breed, consists of brief, dramatic bursts of energy followed by a full-body collapse.

Ideal Home

Prince needs adopters who truly understand and appreciate the Great Pyrenees breed and all its unique traits. He requires a securely fenced yard and cannot be trusted off-leash. Teenagers and older children would be the best fit for this big, noble dog.

Ongoing Health

Prince is selectively deaf, only hearing what aligns with his priorities. He sheds and barks when he sees things, as is typical for his breed.

Training & Support

Prince is not an obedience champion and is an independent thinker who is comfortable making his own decisions. If you tell him he has been bad, he will sulk and take it personally. He is perfectly housebroken and supremely well-mannered in the home, making him a joy for the right family.
