About Paddington

My name is Paddington, and I’m a one-year-old, 25-pound bundle of pure joy! I came to my foster home in Jonesburg, MO, from a commercial breeding facility. Unlike some of my Shiba Inu cousins, I’m not shy or reserved at all! I’m a big, friendly, and incredibly enthusiastic boy who believes everyone is my best friend and wants to play. My play style is energetic, and while I don’t mean any harm, my foster mom supervises me because I can be a bit much for some dogs. I’ve lived with cats and used to chase them when I was younger, but I think I might do okay with a very dog-savvy cat. I haven't met any human children, but I'd probably love them. However, I can accidentally knock over very young children because I get excited and jump for attention. Once I settle down, I’m a champion snuggler who loves all the affection you can give.

Ideal Home

My perfect forever home would be an active one with another young, energetic dog to play with. I also need people who will take me on walks and adventures. Senior dogs might not be the best fit for me, as I might be too much for them.

Ongoing Health

I am a healthy boy, neutered and vaccinated. While the puppy mill suspected I had a heart murmur, the vet has given me a clean bill of health. My hips were also checked due to early alignment issues, but the vet confirms they are fine now that I've grown.

Training & Support

I'm a smart boy who is learning big-boy manners, like not pulling too hard on the leash, and I’m doing well! I’m also house-trained and comfortable staying in my kennel when left alone to prevent any mischief.
