At 5.5 months old, Macie is a survivor! She and her siblings were found abandoned on a cold January night but were thankfully rescued and brought into loving foster homes. Macie is a bold, brilliant, and energetic puppy with a curious spirit and a drive to live life to the fullest. She loves to play, especially with other dogs, and is always eager to learn and figure things out. She is a true heeler, meaning she is athletic, intelligent, and driven, and will thrive with consistent training and enrichment.
Ideal Home
Macie needs an active home that understands the needs of herding breeds. She would do best with experienced adopters who are committed to providing her with plenty of activity, purpose, and consistency. Due to her high energy and herding instincts, she would do well in a home with older, dog-savvy children. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, finding a good match can be challenging, so she might be best as an only pet for out-of-state adopters.
Ongoing Health
Macie is cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and will arrive spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccinations and a microchip.
Training & Support
Heelers require structure, training, and enrichment to thrive. Without these, they can become frustrated or nippy. Adopters should be prepared to provide Macie with an outlet for her energy and intelligence to help her become the best companion possible.

Transporation
Macie is currently located in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. Virtual meet-and-greets are available, and transport can be arranged to many states in the Northeast. The adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing, with transports departing every 2-3 weeks. We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
