Meet Sleepy, a smart and curious 5-month-old Blue Heeler puppy weighing about 16 pounds. He was rescued with his family and is now ready to find his forever home. Sleepy is intelligent, observant, playful, and energetic, as expected of his breed. He loves to explore, play with toys, and learn new things. He’ll thrive with a family that can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation through training and puzzles. Sleepy gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around children, men, and women. With continued positive guidance and socialization, he has the potential to be an incredible lifelong companion. Ongoing Health
Sleepy has completed his spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, and Bordetella vaccine. He has been dewormed, tested negative for heartworm, and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Sleepy is not yet house trained. The rescue group invests significant effort in the rehabilitation of rescued pets, including extensive veterinary care and emotional support. Due to the large number of foster pets, house training each one individually is not feasible. Adopters should be prepared to continue training and socialization.

- A virtual meet and greet will be arranged.
- A trial adoption period will be part of the process.
The adoption fee, finalized prior to transport, includes: spay/neuter, complete vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, heartworm test, and health certificate. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
Transportation
Sleepy is currently fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted.
