Rainer

Meet Rainer, a resilient 3-year-old Blue Heeler who's been through so much but remains incredibly sweet. He arrived at the shelter as a stray after a car accident, which sadly resulted in the amputation of one of his legs. Despite this, Rainer has bravely undergone neutering, completed heartworm treatment, and recovered from surgery. He's a dog social boy who does well with other dogs, provided they respect his space and boundaries. Rainer is truly struggling in the shelter environment, as active and intelligent dogs like Heelers need more than just a kennel. He's ready for a couch, a family, and a person to call his own. The amazing thing about tripod dogs is how well they adapt; Rainer is no different and is ready to live life to the fullest.

Rainer would thrive in a home where he can be connected to his people and have a routine. He needs a family willing to give him a second chance.

Rainer has been neutered and completed heartworm treatment. He is a tripod, having had one leg amputated due to injury.
