Meet Petunia! This sweet, social, and curious 11-month-old Lab mix puppy is looking for an active family to call her own. She absolutely adores people, dogs, kids, and fitting right into the fun of family life. Petunia comes from an area with a high number of homeless pets, and by adopting her, you're not only saving her life but also opening up a space for another dog in need. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy and cuddly sweetness, enjoying romps in the yard (especially in the snow!) and snuggling up for naps. Petunia has been gentle and affectionate with the young children and comfortable around the family cat in her foster home.
Ideal Home
Petunia would thrive in a home that is ready for the adventures of puppyhood and committed to continued training and socialization. She would love a family that enjoys spending time together, whether it's playing outdoors or relaxing at home. While she enjoys having canine companions and has done wonderfully with other dogs, she would also be happy as an only dog soaking up all the attention. She has shown she can do great with kids and has been gentle and affectionate with them.
Ongoing Health
Petunia is a healthy puppy. Her adoption fee includes all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, flea and heartworm prevention, and a microchip.
Training & Support
As a young puppy, Petunia will need a family committed to training, socialization, and providing structure and boundaries. We require adoptive families to crate train their puppy immediately, which helps with potty training, energy management, and developing a well-balanced adult dog.

Transportation
Petunia is currently fostered in the Indianapolis, IN area. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
