Smuckers

Smuckers is a gentle, affectionate 6-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighs nearly 99 pounds. He arrived as a stray and has shown himself to be a very good boy! Smuckers sits for treats, allows full-body touch, and leans in for pets and scratches. He has no food guarding issues and enjoys playing with toys, though he's not the best at retrieving.

Ideal Home

Smuckers would thrive in a home that can provide him with experienced handling, and he needs to be the only dog in the household. We are unsure how he would do with cats.

Ongoing Health

Smuckers has been neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

While Smuckers is a well-behaved boy, he can be a bit clumsy with toys and doesn't quite grasp the concept of fetch. He is a smart boy and with consistent positive reinforcement, he'll continue to learn and grow.
