ROME

Meet Rome – a spirited Schnauzer mix who's ready to find her forever family! Rome arrived at the shelter when her previous guardian could no longer care for her. She's an active girl with a bright mind, and she's looking for an adopter who can keep up with her zest for life. Rome thrives on play, positive reinforcement training, and plenty of walks.

Ideal Home

Rome would do best in a home without small animals like cats or birds, as she has a bit of a prey drive. She previously lived in a home where she was house-trained and had access to a doggy door. Rome has enjoyed interacting with other dogs, but she can sometimes be a little too enthusiastic with her play style. While she may not be a fit for every dog, Rome might enjoy a canine companion to share zoomies and romps with in her new home. Any resident dogs must meet Rome at the shelter before adoption.

Transportation

Rome is located at our Santa Cruz location. Our shelter hours are 11 am - 6 pm, 7 days a week. While you can view animals in their kennels during open hours, "meet and greets" outside of kennels end at 4:30 pm daily. Please arrive before 4:00 pm to allow ample time for discussion and to meet any animals you are interested in.
