Poppy is a sweet and playful pup with a personality that shines! She was born outside with her sisters and their mama, Nylah, who bravely kept them safe until they were rescued and brought to safety by PetPromise. While her sisters and mother found their forever homes, Poppy is still waiting for her special family to discover her. She's a 34 lb bundle of joy, a "house hippo" with a loving nature and an adorable overbite that makes catching treats a hilarious challenge! Poppy gets along wonderfully with her foster dog siblings and the resident cat. She's a very good girl who is house-trained, knows commands like "sit" and "spin," and is learning leash manners. She's active and loves to run and jump, but she's not leash reactive and has never dug up the yard. Car rides, baths, and even teeth brushing are no problem for this adaptable pup! Poppy is food-motivated and loves people, fashioning sweaters in winter with undeniable flair.
Ideal Home
Poppy would thrive in a home where she can be showered with love and attention. She's looking for a family who will take her for walks, enroll her in puppy obedience classes, and include her in all their adventures.
Ongoing Health
Poppy is a healthy pup.
Training & Support
Poppy could benefit from puppy obedience training, especially as she has a tendency to "force play" at daycare. While she's mostly house-trained, she has nibbled on some items when left unsupervised. She also has a knack for demolishing wicker baskets and relocating landscaping rocks. She is not afraid of anything and will bravely face vacuums, dust busters, and blow dryers!
