PL Mi Amore is a delightful approximately 5-year-old German Shepherd with a striking black and red coat, ready to bring her unique charm and working spirit to a new loving family. She was originally purchased from her breeder but was returned because her previous owners did not have enough time for her, leading to her being crated excessively. During that time, her tail sustained damage and required amputation, but she has healed beautifully and it doesn't hinder her at all! Since her return, she's been thriving with structure, enrichment, and exposure to various activities. Mia has been evaluated for working ability and shows excellent potential in tracking, bonds deeply with her handler, and possesses a strong work ethic. She's been introduced to tracking, agility, dock diving, weight pull, and conformation shows, demonstrating a high ball drive, confidence in new environments, and a keen eagerness to work with a great focus on her handler. She would best be suited for sports like tracking, obedience, rally, or agility. Mia has been actively trained and exposed to many environments; she is crate trained, housebroken, walks well on a loose leash, and has foundational training for various dog sports.

Ideal Home

Mia would thrive in an active home that can provide her with the mental and physical stimulation she needs, especially activities that engage her strong tracking abilities and high ball drive. She is great with children and good with medium to large dogs. However, due to her high prey drive, she should not be placed in a home with small animals.

Ongoing Health

Mia's tail has been amputated due to damage. This does not affect her mobility, drive, or ability to work. She is up-to-date on vaccinations and preventative care and will receive proper vet checks before going to her new home.
