Teresa is a loving, gentle, and intelligent Labrador mix who is approximately 4 years old and weighs about 42 lbs. She is a sociable girl who enjoys the company of people and is not aggressive. While she may be a little shy at first, she quickly blossoms into an affectionate and playful companion who adores receiving pets and cuddles. Teresa gets along well with dogs, children, men, and women, and has shown no adverse reactions to cats. She is a calm, balanced, and respectful dog who prefers a peaceful environment.
Ideal Home
Teresa would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard. She needs an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and is looking to genuinely rescue a dog with a real intention to provide a loving home. Adopters should have an open mind regarding the behaviors of rescued street animals and understand their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly desired, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are a must.
Ongoing Health
Teresa has a scar on her neck from a past injury, but it does not affect her spirit. She has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has tested negative for heartworm and 4DX, and receives monthly preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Teresa is not fully house-trained and requires an adopter prepared for this. She walks on a leash with guidance and is learning to follow her handler. She may initially be nervous in a crate but settles down after a short time. Adopters must be prepared for an adjustment period, offering patience and understanding as she builds trust and adapts to her new environment.

Transporation
Teresa is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Transportation is available door-to-door for a fee of $400 USD. Our transport company, based in Montana, brings pets from Mexico to your home, providing all necessary legal documents, health certificates, and real-time updates throughout the journey.
