Ophelia (adoption fee 100)

Meet Ophelia, a sweet and gentle soul who has overcome so much. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas just before giving birth to a litter of puppies. Despite her own difficult circumstances, Ophelia was an amazing and devoted mother, nurturing her babies until they were ready to find their own loving homes. Now, it's finally her turn to be cherished. Ophelia is a large girl, weighing in at 72lbs, and she's as gorgeous as she is kind. She has a wonderfully calm and easygoing personality, making her a pleasure to be around.

Ideal Home

Ophelia gets along well with other dogs and is respectful of livestock. While she hasn't been formally tested with cats, her laid-back nature suggests she'd likely do well, and we're happy to conduct a cat test for interested adopters.

Ongoing Health

Ophelia is spayed and healthy. She's still recovering physically from raising her puppies but is well on her way to feeling her best.

Training & Support

Ophelia is a smart girl who uses a dog door and is well on her way to being potty trained. She should adapt to a new routine with ease.

Transportation

Our dogs are fostered in Texas. Transport is included in our adoption fees and is available on specific dates. The next transport is July 17/18th, with pickup locations including:

• Missouri: Herculaneum (south of St Louis) - Friday evening
• Illinois: Collinsville (north of St. Louis), Springfield, Bloomington/Normal (Friday evening); Oglesby, Roscoe (Saturday morning)
• Wisconsin: Sun Prairie (Saturday late morning); Fond du Lac (Saturday early afternoon)

Adopters in the Green Bay area will meet in Fond du Lac. Davenport area adopters will meet in Oglesby or Roscoe. Milwaukee adopters will meet in Sun Prairie or Fond du Lac. All fees are paid at pick-up.
