Tony

Tony is a 4-year-old, 62-pound Spaniel/Great Pyrenees mix who is a master of blending into the background. He's a shy and timid soul who finds the world a bit overwhelming, but his curiosity often wins out, prompting him to peek out from his safe space. Tony was a COVID puppy, and as such, he didn't get much early socialization. This means that people, other dogs, and cats are all still a bit of a mystery to him. He's making progress, though, and is learning to interact cautiously. He's looking for a calm and mellow canine companion, but highly energetic dogs might be too much for him. Tony is easily startled by cats and his immediate reaction is to retreat.

Ideal Home

Tony would thrive in a quiet home with a securely fenced yard where he can feel safe and gradually build confidence. He would do best with teenagers or adults, as younger children can be a bit too unpredictable for him. His ultimate dream is to have a comfy spot on the sofa next to his favorite people for gentle pets and tasty snacks.
