Louie is a one-year-old mixed breed who is ready to shower his new family with love! Rescued from a neglectful situation, Louie has blossomed and is showing everyone how much love can change a life. He's a happy, spirited boy who has already overcome so much. Louie has some genetic malformations affecting his spine and back legs, giving him a bit of a "hunchback" appearance, but this sweet boy doesn't let it slow him down one bit! He runs, plays, wrestles with his dog friends, enjoys daily walks, and keeps up with the best of them. His condition doesn't affect his ability to enjoy life, and he is not incontinent. Louie is affectionate, gentle, eager to please, and incredibly smart. He knows his name, understands "no," listens well, and loves being close to his people. At night, he's happiest snuggled up in bed, but he also settles quietly in a kennel when needed. Louie gets along well with other dogs, loves chew toys, and enjoys an active lifestyle. He is making excellent progress with house training and already goes outside consistently when given the opportunity. Despite the hardships he endured during his first year, Louie remains joyful, trusting, and full of love. He deserves a family that will cherish him, celebrate his unique qualities, and ensure he never experiences neglect again.
