Meet Rio!
Rio is a beautiful, graceful, and smart young Shepherd mix, estimated to be born around May 1, 2025. She currently weighs about 30 pounds and is expected to be a medium-sized dog when fully grown. Rescued from an abandoned home in Texas, Rio is a resilient, friendly, and gentle soul eager to find her forever family. She is a quick learner, already house and crate trained, and even working on ringing a bell to signal when she needs to go outside! Rio is great with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion, though it's not a requirement. She's also been gentle and friendly with children and is improving her leash manners. While a bit reserved initially, Rio is blossoming into an affectionate and loyal companion. Her fosters describe her as super smart and eager to please, ready to thrive with a family committed to her continued growth and learning. Rio would be a wonderful companion for an active person or family looking for a bright and loving dog to share life's adventures.
Ideal Home
Rio would thrive with an active person or family who is excited to continue her training and learning. Homes with children aged 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both Rio and her future family.
