Meet Arthur! He's a 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is the perfect combination of playful adventure buddy and affectionate cuddle companion. Arthur was found roaming around a park with some other dogs and was brought to the county shelter. We fell in love with him and thankfully a foster agreed to help him out. Arthur loves life and approaches every day with enthusiasm. He's a moderate energy guy who enjoys playtime, exploring, and spending time with his people. He's outgoing, playful, curious, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. He enjoys toys, loves spending time with his people, and is always happy to soak up attention and affection. Arthur thinks if he can fit, he can sit!
Ideal Home
Arthur's ideal home is one that can provide regular exercise, structure, and plenty of opportunities to be part of the family. He doesn't need another dog in the home to be happy, but he would thrive with people who enjoy including their dog in everyday adventures. Because of his size and excitement, he could accidentally knock over a small child during play, so he would do best with a family that understands his energetic nature and can provide appropriate outlets for his enthusiasm.
Ongoing Health
Arthur has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He settles nicely in his crate and has comfortably stayed crated for longer periods before needing a potty break. He rides beautifully in the car and absolutely LOVES car rides! Arthur may pull at first out on a walk, but settles into the routine and does well.
