TRIFECTA*

Meet Trifecta! This outgoing, friendly, and easy-to-handle Boston Terrier Bulldog mix gal is ready to find her forever home. Trifecta came to us as an injured stray with a fractured leg. Our amazing medical team performed an amputation, and she's been recovering wonderfully! Even with three legs, she's still a fairly high-energy pup who loves to play.

Ideal Home

A home with other animals may be a good fit, provided any resident dogs meet Trifecta at the Shelter prior to adoption. A slow introduction with any felines in the home is recommended, as we don't have any history of Trifecta with cats.

Ongoing Health

Trifecta is a tripod dog, and adopters should be prepared to offer additional medical and behavioral support that may be required for a three-legged companion.

Training & Support

Adopters should do some research on the ins-and-outs of supporting a tripod dog medically and behaviorally. Your adoption includes $200 in "Pawsitivity Bucks," a voucher for training services with a local positive reinforcement-based behavior consultant to help you and your new best friend get started on the right paw!

Transportation

Trifecta is located at our Santa Cruz location. Our Shelter hours are 11 am-6 pm, 7 days a week. While you can see animals in their kennels during open hours, "meet and greets" (meeting an animal outside of their kennel) end at 4:30 pm daily. To ensure you have enough time to meet Trifecta, please arrive before 4:00 pm.
