Rookie

MEET ROOKIE💙 Rookie is a sweet Border Collie, Chihuahua, Labrador Retriever mix. He is 4 months old and ready to find his foster to adopt family through Wags.

Rookie is an adorable young pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! He came into rescue after being given away as a free puppy at a local park. We were able to step in and ensure he would have the opportunity to find a safe, loving, and committed forever home.

Since joining his foster family, Rookie has been working hard on his manners and training. He is making great progress with house training and kennel training and is already learning basic commands like sit and come. This playful boy loves toys of all kinds and is always ready for fun and adventure. Whether he’s chasing a ball, carrying around his favorite toy, or playing with his canine friends, Rookie brings joy wherever he goes. Once playtime is over, he’s more than happy to curl up next to you for snuggles and a nap.

Ideal Home

Rookie would thrive in a home with another playful dog, but he could also do well as an only dog with plenty of attention and exercise. He is good with kids but will need continued training not to jump when excited. A fenced yard is required. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown.

Ongoing Health

Rookie's adoption fee is $400 and includes his neuter, vaccines, dewormers, and microchip.

Training & Support

Rookie is working on house and kennel training and learning basic commands. He needs continued training not to jump when excited.

• Applicants will complete a foster application with the intent to adopt, pay the adoption fee, and then finalize the adoption once Rookie’s veterinary care is complete.

Transporation

Rookie is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Applicants must be located between Idaho Falls and Boise to utilize one of our partner veterinary clinics. Transport may be available to the Boise area.
