Lennard

Lennard is a handsome 2-year-old retriever mix with a beautiful golden-tan coat, a bright smile, and a cheerful personality. He approaches life with confidence and enthusiasm, enjoying walks and being by your side. Lennard's happy-go-lucky attitude and friendly nature make him a joy to be around, and he's always ready to share his positive spirit. He's looking for a family to appreciate his loving personality and include him in all the fun.

Ideal Home

Lennard would love a family that will appreciate his loving personality and give him plenty of opportunities to be part of the fun. We haven't seen him with cats or kids, but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with potential adopters.

Ongoing Health

Lennard tested positive for heartworms, but he is receiving treatment. Heartworm is not contagious and, after treatment, dogs can resume full, active, and normal lives. He will need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment and must be kept on monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to discuss the specifics of his treatment plan.

Training & Support

Lennard walks nicely on a leash. We cannot guarantee if he is house-trained, but he is working on crate training.

Lennard is currently in a South Carolina shelter and needs a foster or adopter to make his way to the DC area.
