Roxy is a gentle young dog who is still figuring out that the world can be a safe and welcoming place. At just about a year old, she has already shown that she enjoys the company of other dogs, loves car rides, and wants to be close to her people once she feels comfortable. Staff have discovered that beneath her shy exterior is a sweet soul who quietly seeks connection. During one-on-one time, she chose to sit close, followed her person around the room, and even offered an adorable little nose boop when the pets stopped. Those small moments say a lot about who Roxy is and how much she wants a person of her own. Roxy is looking for someone who will let her move at her own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way. New environments can feel overwhelming right now, but staff have watched her gather courage, approach on her own, and settle beside trusted people.
