If devotion were a sport, he'd have a gold medal and a trophy shaped like your face. He's a "one-dog show" kind of guy - Buddy prefers to be your one and only canine companion. Other dogs aren't really his thing (he likes his spotlight), but he's perfectly comfortable around farm life and has even lived peacefully alongside horses. Basically, he's got a little cowboy energy without the hat. Buddy isn't much of a barker - he'll let you know if someone unfamiliar shows up, but once he realizes they're friends and not villains in disguise, he warms up quickly. After that, he's all tail wags and soft eyes. On leash, he's still polishing his "gentleman walking skills," but he's making great progress and just needs a steady hand and a little patience. He's eager to please and bonds deeply with his person.
