Oly was once just a number at a crowded high‑kill shelter in Texas after being found wandering the cruel streets of Harris County. This sweet little boy is only around 3 years old, left completely alone to fend for himself — abandoned and overlooked, his life hanging in the balance. You can tell Oly once had a home. He knows what it feels like to be loved, and like so many dogs in this area, he was discarded when he needed his people the most. At just 27 pounds, this Chihuahua mix is overflowing with love, loyalty, and hope for a family of his own. Despite everything he’s been through, Oly has not lost his trust in humans. In fact, he wants nothing more than to belong again — to give his whole heart and receive unconditional love in return. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and ready to start the next chapter of his life. Like many pups abandoned in the southern states, Oly tested positive for heartworm, but the good news is he has already started the slow‑kill treatment. His journey to healing has begun — now all he needs is someone willing to walk through life with him. When we saw Oly during our shelter visit, there was no way we could leave him behind. This charming, gentle boy deserved more than a kennel and a number. He deserved a chance.
