Piglet aka Piggie (Real Name Brutus) (Neutered)

Piglet, affectionately known as Piggie, is a handsome 8-year-old Pit Bull Terrier/Red Heeler mix. He arrived at our shelter in January 2024, found as a stray without any identification. Piglet has a striking coat with red/brown ticking, a large brown patch on his side, and an adorable face with amber eyes, a liver-colored nose, and large floppy ears. While he may have some Pointer ancestry, his true passion is for fun and games, or an extra-long walk rather than posing for photos! Piglet weighs around 64 lbs and is strong on his leash. His original family ultimately left him at our shelter, and his real name is Brutus.

Ideal Home

Piglet is NOT good with children, especially when food is involved. He is also NOT good with cats and would cause them harm. He is tolerant of other dogs, but he prefers companions who give him his space and aren't overly boisterous.

Ongoing Health

Piglet was neutered on March 23, 2026, and received a rabies vaccination.

Training & Support

Piglet is strong on the leash, so continued leash training will be beneficial. His known behavioral challenges are with children and cats, which are detailed in the Ideal Home section.
