Meet Annie!

Annie is a spirited, almost five-year-old German Shepherd with a beautiful sable coat and a heart full of intelligence, loyalty, and outdoor joy. Weighing around 55 pounds, this bright and curious girl embodies the classic Shepherd spirit, loving every adventure from forest explorations to playful romps in the open sky. She's completed formal obedience training and knows commands like sit, stay, and down. Annie is also crate trained and sees her crate as a cozy retreat. She adjusts easily to routines and thrives on being part of her caregiver's life, whether it's a car ride or a playful afternoon.

Ideal Home

Annie truly shines in wide-open spaces with plenty of fresh air and room to explore. She would be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard or a rural setting. She needs a single-pet, child-free environment with minimal visiting animals and is not compatible with other dogs or cats.

Ongoing Health

Annie has been diagnosed with Ventricular Premature Contraction (VPC), a heart condition that makes anesthesia unsafe, which is why she has not been spayed. She also has a past seizure history, though she has not had any recent episodes.

Training & Support

Annie would benefit from an experienced German Shepherd pet parent who understands her need for structure, positive reinforcement, and thoughtful guidance. While she can be interested in playing with other dogs, she can become overwhelmed and may react, including a past incident where she harmed another dog. She needs a confident caregiver who can provide consistent boundaries, recognize her signals, and offer ongoing training and behavior support.
