Meet Banks!

Banks is a spirited seven-and-a-half-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix. Weighing 38 pounds, this handsome boy is a determined and loving companion with a striking merle coat. Sadly, an accident led to the amputation of one of his rear legs, but it's never slowed him down! In fact, he may be the fastest tripod you'll ever meet, demonstrating incredible speed and agility. Banks is deeply affectionate and devoted to his people, always ready for cuddles. He's generally friendly with other dogs and welcoming towards adults.

Ideal Home

Banks would thrive in a home with significant outdoor space and dedicated caregivers who can match his energy and commitment to training. He needs an experienced pet parent who understands the drive, intelligence, and daily structure beneficial for herding breeds or agility dogs. A home without young children is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Banks is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Banks is brilliantly trained and responds confidently to a variety of commands, including sit, down, stay, heel, place, come, fetch, leave it, crate, and "good night." He is food motivated and eager to please, excelling with positive reinforcement. He would benefit from continued guidance on his resource guarding tendencies around food. Loud noises can make him uneasy, so calm leadership will help him feel secure.
