Mika

Meet Mika! She's a 3-year-old dachshund mix, weighing just under 14 pounds, and she's packed with personality! Her past may be a mystery, but her future is looking incredibly bright. Mika is already house-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. She also gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. She absolutely loves being outdoors, enjoying digging, rolling in the dirt, and keeping a watchful eye on any squirrels or birds that happen to pass by.

Ideal Home

Mika would thrive in a home that understands her unique needs. Due to her unsteady gait, a home without stairs is essential. She also needs a quiet environment, so a home without young children is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Mika has cerebellar hypoplasia, which causes a slight head wobble when she gets excited, and she also has luxating patella in both knees. While these conditions don't slow her down, they do require some consideration for her environment.

Training & Support

Mika is house-trained and a good leash walker. Her primary support need is a home that can accommodate her physical condition by avoiding stairs and providing a calm atmosphere.
