Rex (fka Maui) (Neutered) (Photos 12/21/2024)

Rex is a handsome 6-month-old male Pit Bull Terrier mix with a happy, outgoing personality and a lot of playful puppy energy! He has a white-and-brown/brindle short smooth coat, a long tail, and a cute, symmetrically marked white/brindle face with dark brown eyes and large, semi-erect ears. Rex was found with his mother and sister and initially went to a foster home with plans for adoption, but unfortunately, he was returned due to a conflict with the family's other dog. After that, he went to another foster home with the intention of adoption, but he was returned again because he never got along with the family's other dog, displaying dominant behavior. Rex weighs 34 lbs.

Ideal Home

Rex is looking for a home where he can be an "only child" and would not do well with other dogs. He also does not accept cats into his circle of friends, so he needs a home where there is no feline contact.

Ongoing Health

Rex was neutered on February 17, 2025, and also received a rabies vaccination.

Training & Support

Rex displayed dominant behavior and was the "wanna-be alpha dog" with the other dog in his previous foster home. He needs a home where he can be the sole canine companion.
