Meet Bonbon, a charming 2-year-old Poodle-Chihuahua mix who weighs around 13 pounds. He's a small dog with a big personality – active, loyal, and incredibly devoted to his people. Bonbon can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his loving and protective nature truly shines. He might bark to alert you when someone new arrives, but it's just his way of looking out for his family! Bonbon is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, children, men, and women. With a little initial patience, he blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion. His story is one of resilience; he was found wandering the streets, dirty and flea-covered, but his loving spirit remained intact. Now safe and sound, Bonbon is ready for a family to give him the stability and love he deserves. He would thrive in a home that appreciates an active, loyal little dog.
Ideal Home
Bonbon would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a home with individuals who have an open mind about the needs of rescue animals and understand their requirement for protection and education. Prior experience with dog behavior and training is highly desired, as is a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Bonbon has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a negative heartworm test, and has received a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Bonbon is not currently house-trained. The rescue team invests significant effort in the health and emotional rehabilitation of their rescued pets. While they do their best, it is impossible to house-train every foster. Adopters should be prepared to work on house-training with Bonbon.
