Steve

Steve was discovered outside of our shelter one morning, left in a laundry basket filled with trash. He was severely underweight and neglected, with toenails so long they were curling into his paw pads. The security footage showed a pickup truck arriving in the early morning hours, and three men abandoning him. While his condition was dire and humane euthanasia was initially considered, Steve showed a spark of life, lifting his head as if to say he was still fighting. He has a long journey to recovery, but each day he gets stronger.

Ideal Home

Steve is looking for a patient and loving home that understands he has a long road to recovery ahead.

Ongoing Health

Steve is currently recovering from severe malnutrition and neglect. He is receiving veterinary care to help him gain weight and address his neglected paws.

Training & Support

Steve will need continued support and patience as he regains his strength and learns to trust again.
