Ruth

Ruth is a sweet 4-year-old female Pitbull mix who is ready to find her forever home! She was rescued after suffering a broken hip and pelvis from being hit by a car, but after surgery and recovery, she's back on her paws and eager for new adventures. Ruth is a loving girl who enjoys her humans and playing with other dogs, though she can be a bit dominant. She seems to do best with submissive dogs or would be happy as the sole canine in the house. Ruth has shown little interest in cats. She's a gentle soul who enjoys taking her time to explore her surroundings, especially during potty breaks. Ruth would thrive in a home that can take her on regular explorations and shower her with love and kisses in return!

Ideal Home

We recommend a home with older, considerate children who can continue her training alongside their parents. Ruth also has a strong interest in shoes, so it's a must to keep her confined when she's unsupervised to prevent any chewing mishaps.

Ongoing Health

Ruth has recovered from a broken hip and pelvis. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. She is also on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Ruth is crate trained and house-trained, sleeping soundly in her crate at night. She is learning the "leave it" command and has shown improvement in relinquishing items when asked. Continued positive reinforcement and consistency will help her succeed.
