Panchita is a sweet, loving, and intelligent female Creole mix, approximately 2-3 years old and weighing around 33 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Panchita is incredibly sociable with humans, children, and other dogs, and she absolutely loves to play, go for walks, and run. She's known for being a real people-pleaser, always sporting a smile and eager to make everyone happy. This affectionate and loyal girl is also described as docile, joyful, and funny, with a charismatic personality. She is both dog and cat friendly. Panchita is crate and leash trained. She was found as a stray and unfortunately became pregnant after being let to roam free. She was rescued with her 7 puppies, and all have been brought to safety.
Ideal Home
Panchita would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. She needs a home with owners who have an open mind and understanding towards the needs of rescued street animals, recognizing their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is highly desired. Please note, Panchita is NOT house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Panchita has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has also tested negative for heartworm and has had a 4DX test. She is currently on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
While Panchita is crate and leash trained, she is not house-trained. Adopters should be prepared for this and understand that house-training is a significant undertaking that is not completed for all rescued animals due to the volume of animals in foster care. Owners with experience in dog behavior and training, and a high tolerance for patience, are ideal.
