A little about them

Clifford is a big, red, playful goofball with joyful puppy energy at two years old. Weighing 86 pounds, he is sweet-tempered, affectionate, and friendly with people and dogs. He loves meeting new dog friends, taking treats, learning, and going on sniffaris.

Ideal Home

Clifford will thrive with an active, capable handler who can help him build leash skills. He pulls strongly and can be impulsive around dogs and other temptations. Older children over twelve may be the best fit because of his size and strength, though he was wonderfully calm and loving with children ages five and seven. A family introduction is recommended. His attitude toward cats is unknown, and care around livestock is advised because he has shown strong interest in goats.

Ongoing Health

Clifford has not yet had his veterinary checkup. He appears to have dry, itchy skin that needs treatment; the cause is not yet known. His DNA test results are available in the listing photos.

Training & Support

Clifford knows sit and down, is eager to please, takes treats nicely, and appears to be very housetrained. He will benefit from leash training and continued positive reinforcement.
